Elise Ferencevych, M.A.T., B.S. in Biology has been teaching Advanced Placement and Environmental Science courses at the high school level for the past 15 years. While her study of plants began from a biological sciences perspective, Elise later continued to expand her understanding of plants by completing certification programs in Biodynamics and Permaculture.
These formal programs of study exposed Elise to new philosophies and pathways for working with plants in a more co-creative and healing way. To broaden her knowledge of the healing applications of plants, Elise studied at Aromahead Institute and became a Certified Aromatherapist and attended workshops at Sage Mountain, VT, participating in courses offered by Rosemary Gladstar in the Science and Art of Herbalism. Elise is a designated BFRP (Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner) by the Bach Centre in England (www.bachcentre.com).
In addition to working with individual clients using Bach Flower Essences, and teaching Bach Flower workshops, Elise is also experimenting in creating and developing flower essences using local and U.S. based plants. Elise’s desire to expand her ability to apply and synthesize plant based natural healing practices with other healing modalities lead her to become a Licensed Massage Therapist (NJ), in order to incorporate acupressure into her work, as well as a Reiki Master.
Elise is currently using her knowledge to create customized healing solutions working with both the therapeutic and energetic properties of herbs, essential oils and flower essences.
